Mike Holstein
Mike started his career working in the field as a carpenter and worked his way into a Superintendent, and then into project management with his most recently held position as Vice President of Operations. His field experience gives him a thorough knowledge of construction techniques as well as the challenges that can be involved. Over the past 24 years in construction he has estimated/managed multimillion dollar hospital additions, remodels, as well as schools, churches, medical office buildings and retirement facilities.

ETHICS
The President of MH Construction grew up in a small town where people looked out for each other. He has used that foundation to build a company that is “client” focused rather than “project” focused. It is important to us that our clients know that we are doing everything in their best interest. We realize that a client’s time is valuable, so we are always organized, concise, direct and honest, whether the news is good or bad. We recognize that clients deserve to have the most complete and up-to-date information so they can make educated decisions. MH Construction employs quality individuals that believe in these same ethical practices.
EXPERIENCE
Mike Holstein, the founder and current President of MH construction, started his career over 24 years ago taking classes towards an engineering degree. After a year of college he decided that the “hands on” approach was more suited to him. He finished his year at college and joined the Carpenters apprenticeship program.
Once achieving journeyman status he set his goal on becoming a Superintendent. Mike worked hard and perfected his trade and was promoted to Superintendent. Mike supervised the construction of new, additions to , and renovations of Hospitals, schools, churches, office buildings, day care centers, and many other types of projects. Mike continued to aspire to greater things. His next pursuit was estimating and project management.
Mike achieved his goals and has estimated and Project Managed over 150 million dollars’ in project work. Mike moved into the position of Vice President and stock holder of a rapidly growing construction company. That opportunity helped him to expand his knowledge of the business side of construction.
As things evolved, Mike realized that the only way to ensure a company possessed the values and principles that he would be proud of was to create a company from the ground up. All of Mike’s hard work and never ending pursuit of self-excellence has transported him to where he is today- owning his own construction company.
